The Sports and Recreation ministry at St. Paul Lutheran Church (SPLC) is rooted in our belief that all areas of life are sacred and everything we do must be under the Lordship of Christ (Colossians 3:17-23).
The Sports and Recreation Ministry of SPLC gives the whole family opportunities for health, fitness, friendship, fun, competition, venue for outreach, and spiritual development in an inviting a Christ-centered atmosphere.
Listed below are some of the initial steps toward fulfilling our belief and vision. Equipment for the games listed here, and others, are available at the church.
Ruth Macklin. a retired Physical Education teacher, heads up our ministry.
> Coed Volleyball: Sundays at 5:00 p.m.
St. John Lutheran has invited our players to join their team in the Darke County Church Volleyball League. Intermediate players begin playing at 8pm, followed by the Young Adults players, then the Adult players. Call the church office at 548-5770 for the Darke County Church Volleyball League schedule.
> Badminton: Thursdays at 6:00 p.m
> Basketball: Open Time
